Including Family In Your Wedding

Getting married is one of the most important days in a person’s life, and many couples want to honor members of their family by including them in aspects of the wedding. There are many different ways to have family be a part of a wedding and we have put together some of our favorites:

One great way to show appreciation to both families is by setting up pictures of them at the reception. It’s often old wedding pictures around the cake, but any meaningful photos work just as well. We love this idea of bringing both families full circle to the present.

Another wonderful way to include family is having members of the couple’s families give a reading. It can be a famous romantic poem or it can be something they wrote themselves. Either way, it can be a very personal and special moment during the ceremony.

A gift for the parents of the bride and groom is a sweet gesture from the newlyweds that gives thanks for their love and support throughout the years. Personalized photo albums, gift certificate for a special dinner or a weekend away are just some examples we love.
