  • – Outdoor wedding. Sure, many couples choose to have a summer outdoor ceremony and/or reception (mostly because the weather allows them to do this), but the truth is that you don’t have to do this. If you want an indoor wedding, you should definitely go for it.
  • – Short bridesmaid dresses. Many brides want their attendants to wear short dresses because the weather is hot during the summer and they want their special ladies to feel comfortable during the wedding. However, this is not an absolute “must-do”. As long as the fabrics you choose for the dresses are light enough, you are more than free to settle for mid-length or even long dresses for your bridesmaids.
  • – Furthermore, you don’t have to choose warm colors for their dresses either. Black, white and cool colors are perfectly fine – and they are more than OK for the wedding color scheme too. Summer is not all about bright colors and if you feel more attracted to something else, you are more than free to have it at your wedding.
