The Mackey House, located less than 10 minutes from Historic Downtown Savannah, Georgia sits on 125 acres of some of the most beautiful southern landscape the South has to offer. The Mackey House has long been a part of Savannah’s history, creating one-of-a-kind weddings, from casual to opulent, for over 25 years. The Mackey family welcomes you, and your most special guests as you celebrate life’s most memorable moments.

What’s Included:

Before the Wedding

  • 1 Kick Start Meeting
  • 2 Planning Sessions

During the Wedding

  • 4.5 Hour of event time (30 min ceremony + 4 hours of reception)

Payment Schedule

Upon contract signing: The full property rental fee is due to confirm your date.

6 months prior to event: 50% payment of the beverage fee is due.

35 days prior to event: Menu confirmation and minimum guaranteed guest count due along with a $500 refundable damage deposit.

30 days prior: Final guest count and balance of invoice due

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the rental of the venue?

  • (1) hour rehearsal the day before event; (3) hours in advance to get ready before the event; (1) 30-minute ceremony location & (3.5) hour reception location. More time may be added for a fee.
  • (18) 60″ round tables, (6) 6′ conference tables, (8) cocktail height tables AND (500) padded chairs.
  • 4 areas to choose from for your wedding: Garden, pond, pavilion & terrace.

Is there weather back up for my ceremony?

Yes, we have 3 covered areas. The back patio can accommodate up to 100 guests and our pavilion and terrace can accommodate up to 225.

Do I need a certificate of insurance?

Yes, you will be required to have a certificate of insurance. If you need assistance with purchasing insurance, please let us know.

Do you allow outside catering?

The Mackey House has 4 recommended caterers you can choose from. Our Pre- Event manager can help match you to one that best fits your needs.

May I bring my own alcohol?

The Mackey House provides complete beverage service for all events. Please contact our Event Sales Manager for our package options.

Do you require a day of Event Coordinator?

Yes, for weddings we require a qualified, licensed event coordinator to be present at the wedding. The event coordinator may not be someone who is attending the wedding as a guest or part of the wedding party. We are happy to provide a list of approved wedding planners/coordinators. The Mackey House also has in-house event coordinators available.

Is there a service charge? If so, what does it include.

Yes. A 18% service charge will be applied to the venue fee to account for set up, break down and staffing.
