Sarah & Chris Wedding

Sarah and Chris threw a summer wedding at The Mackey House that was full of vibrant decorations and personal touches that made the day unique to the couple. Sarah and Chris took advantage of the summer sunlight and took an abundance of photos around The Mackey House, including underneath the wooden wedding arch surrounded by mighty pines as well as beside the lake with a running fountain in the center. The bridesmaids wore deep burgundy dresses that allowed their bright, summertime bouquets to pop, while Sarah held a matching bouquet and wore a floral headpiece woven with sunflowers. Sarah and Chris’ ceremony took place in the open-air pavilion, where the couple lined the aisle with bright-colored, potted plants. To solidify their marriage, Sarah and Chris decided to include a unity ceremony. The unity ceremony consisted of Sarah and Chris each pouring sand from two individual vases into one larger vase, symbolizing the joining of two people, two families, and two cultures. After the ceremony, Sarah and Chris’ wedding day ended with cutting their cake that was draped in sunflowers, matching the sunflowers in Sarah’s headpiece. Sarah and Chris turned their summer wedding vision into reality at The Mackey House by including unique details that truly made our venue theirs for a seamless wedding day.
